7UP Free: A Soda Alternative for Blood Sugar Management

Written by Team Ultrahuman

7UP Free is filled with carbonated water and has no calories or sugars. It is a refreshing drink and a great alternative to the sugary sodas in the markets. It contains carbonated water, citric acids, natural flavours and artificial sweeteners. However, while 7UP Free doesn’t contain any added sugar, it does still contain artificial sweeteners, which may have an indirect effect on blood glucose and insulin levels.

Consider being mindful of your beverage choices
• It is best to avoid beverages with artificial sweeteners.
• Instead of carbonated drinks, consume plain soda with lemon and salt. You can make homemade lemonade by squeezing fresh lemon juice and adding a bit of honey for sweetness.
• Try to ensure you take these drinks, soda and lemon water, in limited quantities.

While 7UP Free doesn’t contain any added sugar, it still contains artificial sweeteners. It’s possible that consuming beverages with artificial sweeteners may cause blood glucose spikes in some individuals. Additionally, while 7UP Free is a sugar-free alternative to regular soda, it’s still not exceptionally nutritious and should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
