Chill Mode is a new smart power management system built to enhance battery usage and efficiency.

The new default battery setting on Ultrahuman Ring AIR, Chill Mode is designed to intelligently manage power while preserving the accuracy of your health data. It extends your Ring AIR battery life by up to 35% by tracking only what matters, when it matters.

Chill Mode uses motion and context-based intelligence to track heart rate and temperature primarily during sleep and rest.

New Ultrahuman Ring AIR battery modes

During daytime activity, it optimizes continuous data collection, helping your battery last longer, all without compromising on sleep, recovery, or movement insights.

Ultrahuman Ring AIR now features multiple modes designed to match your lifestyle. Its redesigned power management system gives you greater control over how the Ring uses and conserves battery, based on what matters most to you.

To change settings head to the My Ring menu (top right) and then tap Choose a battery usage mode.

Here’s how the three modes differ:

Chill Mode

Chill Mode tracks heart rate and temperature during sleep and rest. It reduces daytime tracking to save battery, making it up to 35% more efficient. It’s now the default setting for Ultrahuman users.

You still get key insights around sleep, recovery, and movement. Stress tracking may appear differently, as daytime inputs are dialed down in this mode.

Turbo Mode

Turbo Mode keeps all sensors active throughout the day for continuous, detailed health insights – including Stress Rhythm and real-time recovery data. It’s ideal for users who want full-spectrum tracking at all times.

This mode kicks in automatically when the battery drops to 5% or below. It preserves energy by disabling all sensors except step tracking, keeping the Ring functional until you recharge.

Conclusion

The new power setting enables Ultrahuman Ring AIR users to enjoy more control over their experience. Turbo Mode will offer the same experience as before, with the same 4-6 days of battery life.

Chill Mode, which is now the default setting, will enable 35% longer battery life, with most of the core features of the Ring AIR unaffected.
