How is average glucose calculated?

Average Glucose is calculated from all the glucose data points for that day. This single metric provides you with a holistic view of how your glucose levels were throughout the day.

Maintaining optimal average glucose

In general, 100 mg/dL is considered to be the max optimal value for average glucose. So whenever you exceed this threshold for a single day, you’ll get a nudge on the Ultrahuman app. It’s possible to experience high average glucose when you are consuming more carbs or simple sugars than what your body can utilize optimally.

Maintaining average glucose below the maximum optimal value (100 mg/dL) is a good practice as it ensures you are not over fuelling thereby contributing to better metabolic health.
